Munich-based Isar Aerospace has successfully launched its Spectrum rocket into orbit from a site in Norway, marking the first successful orbital launch by a private company from continental Europe. The achievement positions Europe to better compete in the growing market for satellite launches, currently dominated by US companies like SpaceX.
